Mozilla tarafından akıllı telefonlar için geliştirilen, linux tabanlı, açık kaynak kodlu bir işletim sistemi olan Firefox OS Hindistan'da da pazara indi. Cloud FX adıyla piyasaya sunulan telefon Hindistan'ın en büyük sanal mağazası olan Snapdeal'da satılıyor. Firma yetkilileri insanların normal telefon parası ile akıllı telefon almalarını hedeflediklerini dile getirdi. Telefonun Hindistan'da ki tanıtımı Index Teknoloji firması tarafından yapılıyor. Cloud FX modeli çift SIM kart, 2 MP kamera, 3.5 inçlik ekran, 1 Ghz hızında işlemci ile geliyor. İngilizce, Hintçe ve Tamil dil desteğine sahip akıllı telefondan  Facebook ,  Twitter ,  WhatsApp   gibi sosyal medya ve iletişim ağlarına bağlanılabilecek.

Open Multiple Links with a Click and a Drag with These Browser Add-Ons Opening a lot of links takes a lot of clicks, which gets tedious when you're scouring Google for information. These Chrome and Firefox add-ons will let you select multiple links with a click-and-drag motion, opening them all at once. Chrome: Linkclump LinkClump is an extension in Chrome that lets you click and drag to select multiple links, and open them all in new tabs. You can choose to open them all in the current window or a new one, as well as ignore certain links containing words. It already knows how to ignore certain links, like in Google—notice in the above image, it knows not to select the "Cached" or "Similar" links, just the ones that actually navigate to the pages you want. If you’ve already downloaded the new  Firefox 4 today, the first you probably noticed is how much zippier it is. I pretty much had stopped using Firefox altogether because of the creekiness of its previous versions compared to Chrome, Safari, and IE9. But the new Firefox 4, which  Mozilla claims  is 6 times as fast as before, puts it back in the same pack at least as the rest. It’s been downloaded nearly 2 million times as of this writing (check the  counter  for more up-to-the-second numbers). I’m sure there are plenty of benchmark tests that show one browser is faster than the other, and vice versa, but my initial reactions after playing around with Firefox 4 today and comparing it side by side with Chrome is that it is just as fast if not faster. It depends on which website I visit. TechCrunch, for instance, loads a second or two faster by my stopwatch. Without the stopwatch, I can’t tell the difference. Mozilla çalışmalarını hızlandırdı, Firefox 4 çıkmadan Firefox 5'in akıbeti belli oldu. Mozilla'nın paylaştığı bir taslak dokümanda Firefox 5'in yol haritası ortaya çıktı. Çalışmalarını hızlandıran Mozilla, bu dokümana göre Haziran 2011'de Firefox 5'i piyasaya sürecek. Eğer Mozilla'nın dokümanındaki hedefler planlandığı şekilde gerçekleştirilirse Firefox 4'ün yaklaşık 24 ay süren geliştirme aşaması Firefox 5'te çok daha kısa sürecek gibi gözüküyor. Yarın yayımlanacak olan Firefox 4 daha elimizde değilken ortaya çıkan bu haber Firefox kullanıcılarının ilgisini çekecek gibi görünüyor. Eğer herşey yolunda gider ve yazılım geliştiricileri büyük bir probleme rastlamazsa, Firefox 4′ün final sürümü 22 Mart günü yayınlanmış olacak. Firefox’un resmi forumunda yer alan bir mesaja dayanan bu haberin kaynağı Mozilla’dan Damon Sicore. Sicore, “Şimdiye kadar birinci sürüm adayını final durumuna geçirmeyi engelleyecek bir problemle karşılaşılmadı… 22 Mart dağıtım günü.” şeklinde bir açıklamada bulundu. Firefox’un sürüm adayı bir hafta önce yayınlandı. Firefox 4′ün beta sürümlerini aylardır kullanıyoruz ve aynı şekilde en son çıkan sürüm adayını da kullanmaktayız. Herhangi bir hataya rastladığımızı söyleyemeyiz. Eğer 22 Mart tarihinden önce önemli bir soruna rastlanırsa, final versiyonun çıkış tarihi ötelenecek ve büyük ihtimalle final sürüm yerine ikinci sürüm adayını alacağız. Net Applications has just released its browser usage share statistics for November 2010, and the  decline of Internet Explorer  continues to be a cogent trend. Meanwhile, Google’s Chrome browser continues to increase its share of the market, topping 9.3%, a new record according to  Net Applications’s data . Microsoft continues to be the overall browser leader, with all versions of Internet Explorer representing 58.4% of browser usage. That’s a drop of more than a percentage point since October, but still more than double its closest rival, Mozilla Firefox. nternet Explorer 6.0 usage is down to about 13.7% worldwide; that figure might very well sink below 10% in the next six months. Microsoft is hoping that the upcoming launch of  Internet Explorer 9  will help compensate for that, however. The big story, of course, continues to be the success of Google Chrome.
