Oracle Discoverer 4.1.37 Administrator Error (dis51adm.exe - Entry Point Not Found)

I setup Discoverer administrator version to 4.1.37. When i try to start application i get following error. 

                       

dis51adm.exe - Entry Point Not Found
The procedure entry point ?GetQualifiedName@DCEItemHandle@@QBE?AVDCEString@@XZ could not be located in the dynamic link library dce51.dll

If you get this error and you want to resolve problem do the following items.

  • You must download this patch for your operation system. 
              Patch 3451630 - Discoverer Patch version 4.1.48.08.00 Admin Desktop OneOff patch.
              Release: Discoverer 4.1
              Product: Discoverer Administration or Desktop Edition
              Platform: Microsoft Windows
              Password: ******
              URL: https://updates.oracle.com/ARULink/PatchDetails/process_form?patch_num=3451630

  • Then open discoverer admin file in your computer where you setup your program.

  • Then take backup of your dce.dll and dis4adm.exe objects.
  • Then open your patch file and copy dce.dll and dis4adm.exe objects.
  • Go to C:\oracle\oraform\DISCVR4 and paste new objects here. (Where you setup discoverer admin)
  • Restart application and try again.

Automatic Generation of Charge Account in Requisition Import

Requisition Import process is used to import requisitions from other Oracle or third-party non-Oracle systems. Before R12.2.2,  while importing requisitions from Oracle or third-party non-Oracle systems, if users do not provide charge account segment or CCID for other accounts in the Requisitions Interface table (PO_REQUISITIONS_INTERFACE), then these requisitions are not imported. The interface expects the accounts (charge, budget, variance, and accrual) as mandatory fields and does not process requisitions unless the charge account is populated. With this new feature, when requisitions are imported using the Requisition Import Process, the Charge, Budget, Variance and Accrual accounts for the requisitions are generated automatically by calling the Requisition Account Generator Workflow.
